Deleted good text? WordPress revisions can help

A rushed edit can accidentally remove a useful part of a post.

WordPress stores revisions so you can compare earlier changes.

Open the post editor and find Revisions in the post settings.

If it is absent, the post may have no revisions yet or revision storage may be restricted on the site.

On the comparison screen, move the slider to inspect added and removed text.

Choose a version containing the text you need and restore it.

Read the restored post again because an older version may lack recent information.

For practice, write two sentences in a test draft, save them, and then change one.

Find the earlier revision and check that the changed sentence appears in the comparison.

Revisions help recover changes to this content; they do not replace a full site backup.
