Publish audio correctly in WordPress

The Audio block places a playable audio file inside a post or page.

Start a new editor line, type /audio, and select the Audio block.

Upload a file or choose an existing item from the Media Library.

Give the file and media item clear names so they are easy to find later.

Avoid autoplay because unexpected sound can be disruptive for many visitors.

For long audio, state its topic and duration in one short sentence before the player.

Add a brief text summary so the main idea remains available without listening.

Preview the post on mobile and test play, pause, and volume controls.

If playback fails, check the file type and media URL in the library.

The test passes when signed-out visitors can play it without breaking the page layout.
